At Four Oaks, our mission is to assure that children become successful adults. We can’t do it alone.
Volunteers are utilized in a variety of ways at Four Oaks. We have people who regularly help our Achievement Academy kids with homework and employee groups spending the day doing spring clean-up at our sites.
Our friends at GE Capital recently began offering our older residential teens a state-mandated life skills program, including preparation and instruction. The program is a vital step in preparing those who are nearing the point of aging out of the human services system. With the wealth of knowledge in the community, we are also fortunate to have retired Rockwell engineers work with at-risk kids on science programs.
We also salute the 27 members of our volunteer board of directors for providing the vision and leadership that makes Four Oaks one of the largest and most innovative child welfare agencies in the state. Volunteer opportunities exist and are only limited by your imagination. From data entry to landscaping to kids who need adult attention – you can help.
