The children were nestled all snug in their beds… At Four Oaks, will have more than 175 boys and girls with us for the Holidays. We will make sure they’re tucked in bed, but for a truly pleasant and meaningful season, we need your help.

We have children ranging in age from five to 18 who are in our residential treatment facilities. Our goal is to help them overcome abuse, neglect, or whatever circumstance has brought them to us. Being away from home for the Holidays can be an especially difficult time for our kids.

Four Oaks Holiday Project

The children have each made a “wish list” of toys, games, clothing and other items they would most like to receive this holiday season. With your donation, we will match those resources with the children’s wishes.  Each Four Oaks residential treatment facility will host a Holiday party for the kids so they can open their gifts in a festive atmosphere.

Ways to make a difference:
  • Host a holiday giving tree
Showcase a Holiday Giving Tree at your business or organization and display ornaments for employees or customers to retrieve. We will provide information, including each child’s name, age, gender and wish list. The suggested amount is not to exceed $25 per gift.  Our elves will give pointers on how to organize a Giving Tree!
  • Provide gifts for kids
A great way to enhance your holiday experience is to buy gifts for any number of our kids.
  • Make a monetary donation
Monetary donations or gift cards are always welcome.
Four Oaks elves will then ensure that the children’s wishes are fulfilled.
Gifts may be delivered to the Smith Center campus at 5400 Kirkwood Blvd SW, on December 7, 10 or 11. For more information about the Four Oaks Holiday Project, please contact Margie Connors-Boe at 319-784-2012 or
