“Dorice understands Jane Boyd’s original mission to positively impact the lives of children through after-school programs and outreach,” said Lisa Rhatigan, Chair of the Jane Boyd Community House Board of Directors.
Ramsey led a similar agency in Kansas City for ten years, before moving to Iowa more than a year ago and taking the Wellington Heights position with Jane Boyd. She will oversee all programs at Jane Boyd, which include the Achievement Academy, Family Support, PATHS (adult education/employment) and community engagement in Wellington Heights. Her new position is effective Tuesday, April 1.
“I am excited to begin my new role at Jane Boyd and will continue to strengthen the long-standing relationship we’ve had with our core neighborhoods and other community partners,” said Ramsey, the newly appointed Executive Director of Jane Boyd.
Ramsey succeeds former Jane Boyd Executive Director Jim Ernst, who will be retiring from Jane Boyd’s affiliate agency, Four Oaks, effective May 1, 2014.
Jane Boyd Community House is a non-profit agency that has provided social, skill-building and enrichment programs to local neighborhoods for 90 years. Jane Boyd is supported by the United Way of East Central Iowa, the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation, local businesses and private donors.
