(Des Moines), Iowa— State legislators will have a chance to learn more about the Family Development and Self Sufficiency (FaDSS) Program at an information fair at the Capitol Rotunda on January 15, 2008 from 11:30 to 3:00 p.m.
Sponsored by the Iowa Family Development Alliance, the fair will include displays from program grantees across the state including Four Oaks. The FaDSS grant funds Four Oaks Cornerstone programs to help families work toward economic self-sufficiency and family stability in eight northeastern Iowa counties, including Linn, Johnson, Jones, Benton, Delaware, Dubuque, Iowa and Washington.
The event will provide legislators with information on statewide FaDSS grantees’ programs and an opportunity to speak with FaDSS families about how the program has affected their lives. FaDSS and Four Oaks staff will be on hand to answer specific program questions.
