The unique farm-to-table experience at Cuisine in the Corn includes a five-course meal featuring local produce from Morgan Creek Farms. Diners are transported by hayrack deep into the cornfield to a long, elegantly adorned table.
Attendees report that few things can equal the beauty…or irony…of a gourmet meal in an Iowa cornfield. Susan, a past Cuisine in the Corn attendee, states, “It was magical. I have lived in Iowa my whole life and I have never had dinner in a cornfield!”
An Iowa wine-tasting kicks off the evening at 6:00 p.m., followed by dinner at approximately 7:00 p.m. Cost is $75 per person ($85 after July 26) and reservations can be made here or by calling 319-784-2012. With seating limited to 150 guests, the event is expected to be a sell-out.
Proceeds from the event will benefit Four Oaks.
