Four Oaks and Family Resources announce affiliation Dear Four Oaks Supporter,

We want to share some exciting news with you about our future growth.

Over the next year, Four Oaks will begin an affiliation with Family Resources, headquartered in Davenport. This affiliation will improve efficiencies, expand our mission and enhance services for children in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. The two agencies will keep separate 501c3 (non-profit) status and will continue to develop relationships with stakeholders and partners in our respective communities. The money raised in our community will stay in our community. This is not a merger or acquisition.

All agencies like ours need to be more strategic with limited resources. When we work together we can share best practices, train staff more effectively to provide progressive treatment for children and families and focus on successful outcomes. We are proactively creating this partnership to become stronger organizations for the benefit of the people we serve.

The affiliation officially will begin July 2014 and happen in stages over the next year. Four Oaks has offices in 15 cities in East-Central/Central Iowa and Family Resources provides services in six cities in Eastern Iowa/Western Illinois and. We also work together as two of six partners in Iowa KidsNet to recruit, train, license and support Iowa’s foster and adoptive families in Iowa’s 99 counties. Four Oaks has two affiliates; Jane Boyd Community House and the Affordable Housing Network, Inc., both located in Cedar Rapids.
