Finding many ways to help our kids “Does it take time? Sure. Is it worth it? Absolutely,” says Tracy Bennett, in reference to all the ways that Toyota Financial Services (TFS) and its employees have supported Four Oaks over the past few years. Tracy is the facilitator of the Charitable Review Committee at TFS and has led many of the company’s philanthropic efforts. At Four Oaks, this includes ‘adopting’ over 90 kids for the Four Oaks Holiday Project (see photo), volunteering, and making donations.

This month, Toyota Financial Services approved a $2,000 grant to Four Oaks to fund program supplies for the Achievement Academy prevention program at Jane Boyd. The grant will allow staff to purchase and replace important supplies such as flashcards, puzzles, art and craft supplies, basketballs, games and more that the kids use every day.

“We don’t know what kind of situations [the kids] are in, but we hope the knowledge that there are people supporting them and thinking about them and caring about them provides some hope. For us, I don’t think there’s anything better than that,” says Tracy.

Toyota Financial Services employs over 3,300 people nationally, and corporate giving is focused in the areas of education, at-risk youth, safety and the environment.
