Cuisine in the Corn - August 27

A dining experience that has gained in popularity throughout the country will now be offered in Eastern Iowa at the Bloomsbury Farm, next to the Four Oaks logo corn maze.  And what better time to do it than when there is a full moon?  August the sun set over a beautiful green field....only to be replaced by a full moon.

"Cuisine in the Corn" will feature a long table with all the trappings of elegant dining: tablecloth, linens, china, and candlelight.  The evening begins with a wine-tasting from an Iowa winery.  Transportation to the dining site will be provided by a hayrack as guests journey to a middle of a cornfield on Bloomsbury Farm.  The menu features such locally-grown delights as filet mignon, lettuce wedge, seasoned garlic mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables.  Save room for strawberry shortcake!  Following dinner, guests will depart the cornfield to enjoy a good ol-fashioned barn dance with the music of the Burlington Street Bluegrass Band.

Tickets are available for $75 per person.  Price includes the meal, wine at wine-tasting and dinner, and the barndance.  Tickets for the barndance only are available for $10 per person.

Schedule of events:

7:00 p.m. - dinner in the corn field
