Anne Gruenewald leads Four Oaks into its next generation of success A few weeks ago, Anne Gruenewald was honored at the Iowa Women’s Foundation Ovation Awards as one of the leaders of our state. She was publically introduced as the new President and CEO of Four Oaks. In the tribute award it said, “…Anne has skillfully led programs, quality improvement and strategic innovations. One of her best assets is the balance she makes between guiding with her heart and leading with her head; she is the first to write a personal note, make a compliment or support other women in their career growth.”

Some of you know Anne because of her longevity; she has been working side-by-side with Jim Ernst for more than 30 years. She holds strong loyalties to this agency and helped grow the Four Oaks we know today with three affiliates, offices in 15 Iowa locations and a staff of more than 850 that helps more than 14,000 Iowans annually. Perhaps Anne’s crowning achievement is her architecture of TotalChild, Four Oaks’ comprehensive and long-term approach for helping children and families.

Anne recently visited all of our sites, in an effort to listen to everyone’s suggestions and comments and came away with an energized feeling that Four Oaks is truly fortunate to have such dedicated staff with a clear vision and mission.

Please join us in welcoming Anne into her new role at Four Oaks!
