I am afraid my child is going to hurt me or someone else. What should I do?

I am afraid my child is thinking about suicide. Where can I turn?

Suicide is the second leading cause of death among Iowa's youth aged 15-19 years old. Through education, awareness and action, suicide can be prevented.

My child ran away. What can I do to find him/her?

This is a difficult time for you and your child. Contact your local law enforcement and your child’s DHS or JCS worker (if applicable) for assistance in locating your child. Once you child is located safely, Four Oaks is here to help your family heal. Contact us and a member of our team will reach out to you within 24 hours or the next business day.

I have no food to feed my family. Is there somewhere I can go?

Several food banks throughout Iowa can be found here. To find out if your family qualifies for food assistance from the state, click here. Many local churches and community centers also offer food assistance.

I heard you have low income housing. Do I qualify?

The Affordable Housing Network (AHNI), a Four Oaks affiliate, offers quality and affordable housing to individuals and families. What is TotalChild? How can I get my child signed up?

TotalChild is an innovative long-term holistic program focused on helping children become successful adults. A Success Manager partners with a child and his or her family by helping coordinate different services throughout Four Oaks and the community and assisting the family progressing through life’s twists and turns.
