| Foster/Adoption Licensing Specialists: CR |
Iowa KidsNet is a statewide collaboration of six Iowa agencies dedicated to children and families. Iowa KidsNet currently has the responsibility to recruit, train, license and support Iowa's foster and adoptive parents. Iowa KidsNet agencies also partner on other child welfare initiatives with the goal of helping all of Iowa's children reach their potential for greatness.
This position is responsible for the licensing and support of resource families, including foster care and adoption services. This may include, but is not limited to orientation facilitation, PS-MAPP training, and submitting complete and on time home studies. It also includes re-licensing each home annually, and providing support following their PS-MAPP training. This position may also support resource families with adoption subsidy to help prevent adoption disruption.
Candidate must have excellent communcation skills, time management and ability to problem solve effectively.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Must be at least 18 years of age. Bachelors Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university OR Bachelors Degree in related field plus two years of human service related experience.
