Four Oaks Mason City broke ground June 4 on a new facility to help young children who have mental health and behavioral issues. The center will be a Psychiatric Medical Institute for Children and provide residential treatment for children ages 5-12.

Some of you know Anne because of her longevity; she has been working side-by-side with Jim Ernst for more than 30 years. She holds strong loyalties to this agency and helped grow the Four Oaks we know today.

One year ago, Jim Ernst announced his intention to retire in 2014. The Four Oaks Board of Directors selected longtime staff member Anne Gruenewald as the next CEO. Jim will be officially retiring and stepping down on May 1.

The Jane Boyd Community House Board of Directors has appointed Dorice Ramsey as the agency’s Executive Director. Ramsey currently serves as the Director of Wellington Heights programs and will continue to oversee that work.

Mercy Medical Center operates an in-house print shop. Each year, Mercy prints a variety of promotional materials for Four Oaks, free of charge. Four Oaks is able to put funds that would have been spent on printing back to its mission.
